Found on Paradise (loop) Lost Maui Hat

I should stop and record or, at least, consider the objects shed on the roadway - intentional and otherwise. In the intentional bucket any number of: beer cans and bottles - especially 40 oz containers, especially in groups hard seltzers fast food bags broken glass bits of cars cigarette butts I saw a perfectly good onion rolling down the road once without a farmer's market in sight. I wonder if someone is still looking for it.

Old Bike Review, Short Version

Handlebars: definitely strained my wrist facing forward for the duration of the ride. Used to toggling between drop bars, resting on breaks or up on top of handlebar.  Grips: felt great to have different textures and squishiness compared to straight bar tape.  Seat: so much cushier than anything I have now.  Brakes: definitely used to the responsiveness of disc brakes now. I didn't feel confident in my ability to stop quickly. One speed: no choice but to keep moving. No real impact to my average speed (14.7 MPH average today).

Q: how will it feel to do my current commute on my old ride?

And I am ready to head into the unknown? Can I get up a formidable hill?  Is it a 10% grade or less and does it matter? It's just me and my thoughts right now. Even Earl has gone back to bed after a few bites of early morning breakfast, a meander on the dark deck, some birds starting their daily call. The goal is to make sure the thoughts are positive are positive. Direct them not let them direct me. I am choosing to go up the hill. It just takes one stroke after another and another.
